CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A local veterans band has been putting on a show for some of our are health care workers.
Members of the Patriot's Band of America. played some tunes on the top floor of Christus Spohn Shoreline's parking garage earlier this week.
They say they've been showing up and playing for about a week now as a way to thank medical workers during the pandemic.
"We feel that what they're doing is most definitely above and beyond the call of duty," said Jesse Garcia, the President of Patriot's Band of America. "I know it's what they're committed to. That's their profession; but still they're placing themselves in a dangerous situation, same as all first responders."
Garcia says they'll continue to play and visit other hospitals, just as long as the staff seems to enjoy it.
