CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — One of the victims of the coronavirus has been identified as a local nurse.
Jason Garcia, 42, worked at Christus Spohn Shoreline.
He died from COVID last week.
His supervisor Lori Swagerty said that Garcia was loved by family, friends and colleagues.
“Jason was always humble, and down to earth, and just a kind spirit,” Swagerty said. “One of the things that I loved about was his smile. And it's something you sometimes don't think about until they're gone but it's just something truly beautiful about his spirit.”
Garcia is survived by his wife and two children.
