CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Local law enforcement is making sure folks are following the city's guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We checked out Padre Balli Beach just past Bob Hall Pier this morning to see if any folks were congregating at the beaches and found not many people were out today.

One family of 10, who weren't all able to visit the beach, say they're making the most of their time out today.

"We let the husbands and my dad go and do guy stuff and do their own little quarantine at their own property so they got to do guy stuff and we got to take the kids to the beach just to kind of separate us and split us up a bit," said beach-goer Kaitlynn Judd.

Beachgoers told us they're not only following the rules but also trying to do their part in keeping everyone in their community safe.
