CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Several non-profit groups continue to care for families throughout the pandemic. But they've taken a huge financial hit.
In fact, the Ronald McDonald Charities were forced to suspend one of their largest fundraisers last week.
That's why they've come up with a virtual event called "Give from home day."
"Obviously, all non profits are trying to figure out a way to close the financial gap and give from home day is one of those ways and one of those opportunities that anyone can go to our website and make a donation to support the RMH," Michelle Horine, CEO of Ronald McDonald Charities of Corpus Christi said.
It's all happening online on April 21.
Throughout the day they will be sharing stories from former families, volunteers, as well as giving an update on their recent work.
