CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — There's good news for food banks across the state, courtesy of H-E-B.

The grocery store chain is delivering twenty-four truckloads of food to thirteen different locations.

That includes our Coastal Bend Food Bank.

Tuesday, they received 28 pallets of frozen chickens and 12 pallets of bread.

Bea Hanson, the Executive Director of the Coastal Bend Food Bank, said, ""The food bank has been very low on food. We have been doing a lot of distributions. We are probably down to have 30 percent of our capacity, so any donation - such as this - will be very very helpful."

H-E-B's hunger relief program works year-round to help people in Texas and Mexico.

Last year, they donated twenty-five million meals to families in need
