Family who pleaded for convalescent plasma loses father to COVID-19

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A local man has died from COVID-19 after his family asked the public to donate convalescent plasma.

According to his daughter, Lindsey Lane, Arthur Brown died on Aug. 3.

On that day his family says he was being transported to San Antonio so that he could have the option to use an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation machine but his heart stopped in the ambulance on the way.

According to his family he fought till the very end.

KRIS 6 News featured Brown's family in areport early last month when they asked recovered COVID-19 patients to donate their convalescent plasma.
