It looks like you'll have more time to complete your United States census form.

A federal judge in California has given federal census counters more time to finish their work.

In August, Commerce Sec. Wilbur Ross shortened the counting deadline to Sept. 30, as part of a response to COVID-19.

But the court ruled yesterday that the original deadline of Oct. 31 should be reinstated.

The Department of Justice is expected to appeal the ruling.
