CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Easter Bunny stopped by La Palmera mall to spread some Easter cheer this Sunday.

The threat of the COVID-19 pandemic didn't stop Mister and Misses Bunny from celebrating at a safe distance.

The bunnies danced and waved to kids and their families, who drove by in their cars.

People at La Palmera say that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, they wanted to help give the kids some type of normalcy. Attendees of the event appreciated the gesture.

"It feels good to be able to bring the kids out to see the easter bunny because they usually take a picture with them," said father Arnulfo Gutierrez. "And they shut down the mall before we were even able to do that. So, just to see a smile on their faces is pretty awesome."
