CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A statement from The Roman Catholic Diocese of Corpus Christi announced the permanent closure of Holy Family School.
A news release stated, "The decision was made after much study, prayer and discernment. The current pandemic crisis, economic downturn, current demographic shifts, declining enrollment, and the school/parish financial challenges all contributed to this difficult decision."
Educators with the Roman Catholic Diocese stated they want a smooth transition for students and families to Saints Cyril and Methodius School.
The Holy Family school was established in 1956 and had provided continuous educational service to the community since then.
