CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Del Mar College campuses and centers are closed, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however the college is still open for business and students are still hitting the books (and computers).

The Del Mar College Foundation is currently holding its Bernie's Spring Bash online to help students during the pandemic. Money raised will go towards the Student Emergency Aid fund which is supporting Del Mar students impacted financially by the health crisis. The fundraier will go towards helping students who lost jobs and need help paying bills and getting food. The school will also purchase laptops to lend to students to complete their courses while off campus and help students stay in touch with families and professors.

Bernie's Spring Bash showcases some of Del Mar's signature programs. Professors and staff have shared short videos demonstrating their expertise and talent like music professor Dr. David Sutanto playing "I got rhythm" on the piano and Dr. Donald Pinson playing "Blue Skies" on trombone as a selfie quartet.
