A Del Mar College student has tested positive for COVID-19, the school announced on Monday.
The student was immediately instructed to self-isolate. As a result of the positive case, an additional student who was in close contact has been asked to quarantine.
The area on the college's east campus where the exposure occurred has been disinfected. Those who were identified as being exposed to the virus (according to Disease Control and Prevention guidelines) while on college property were personally notified by a school representative.
