Corpus Christi development services department says no in-person activities right now

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Despite the current pandemic, business and industry moves forward, although in a different way.

The City of Corpus Christi joins the County is temporarily suspending some in-person city services.

City employees are also promoting online transactions.

O.D. Ramey lives in Flour Bluff. He’s building a treehouse for his grandkids.

Believe it or not, that requires a permit from the City of Corpus Christi. So when Ramey showed up at the city development office today, he was turned away.

“I showed up here. They are closed. They are going to be closed for two weeks,” said Ramey.

The development services department is currently closed to the public for any face-to-face interactions. And that means those in need of a building permit must go online to permitrequest@cctexas .com.

If you are a homeowner business owner contractor or even a tree house builder right now permits are online at the city of online at the city of Corpus Christi website.
