CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — As the number of COVID-19 victims requiring hospitalization goes up, so does the demand for more nurses.
The state of Texas is now providing additional nurses to hospitals in need, including CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline. The hospital will get 20 more nurses.
The hospital is also offering part-time registered nurse associates the opportunity to work full time.
Nueces Co.-Corpus Christi Public Health Director Annette Rodriguez confirmed to KRIS 6 News on Thursday that the several of the local hospital system's nurses had been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.
