CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Independent School District will start high school graduations at Cabaniss Sports Complex starting on June 5.

The decision comes after the state has granted public school district the ability to conduct outdoor graduation ceremonies.

Graduates and their families will receive complete details once plans are finalized.

Guests will be limited and safety precautions will be required. To minimize gatherings, there will not be graduation rehearsals. Ceremonies will be live-streamed so family and friends may join the celebration; the district will share live-stream details closer to graduation.
