CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Corpus Christi Independent School District has released an update on their graduation plans that says they won't have ceremonies until next month at the earliest.

In a Facebook post released earlier this morning, district officials say they are "continuing to study options for celebrating our seniors."

The state will allow graduations to be held in outdoor settings beginning on May 29.

The post indicates that if it is deemed safe to hold an outdoor celebration, CCISD could hold evening graduation ceremonies in June at a district stadium.

The district also says they have tentative reservations for late July at the American Bank Center.

Future updates will be released when the district comes to a decision, the post reports.
