Bee County's third confirmed COVID-19 case announced

Bee County has confirmed a third case of COVID-19 in their population.

Bee County announced Saturday that the female patient between ages 70 and 80 is quarantined in her residence and in fair condition.

Officials are currently investigating the case.

"Anyone found to have had close contact with this individual will be contacted directly by the investigator," officials said in a press release. "The Texas Department of State Health Services conducts investigations."

Residents who think they may have contracted COVID-19 are encouraged to call the COVID-19 helpline at 361-492-5981 between the hours of 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
