CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The ongoing health crisis has changed the way we go about our everyday lives, but that didn't stop one Jim Wells County woman from celebrating a pretty big milestone.
Alejandra Marquez recently turned 90 years old.
She lives in a nursing home in Alice, but due to state guidelines, had to celebrate her birthday with her family from a distance.
That included meeting her great-great grandson for the very first time with a window between them.
And of course, the rest of her family gathered outside as well to wish her a very happy birthday, "Happy birthday to you, and many more. Happy birthday 'wela'!"
