A special celebration for the folks in a local assisted living facility.

Dozens of cars paraded outside the Alameda Oaks Nursing Center and the residents gathered outside to wave as family and friends passed by in their cars.

Many of these families haven't been able to see their loved ones since the start of the pandemic.

"It is a hard thing to see her and not be able to go see her and hug her and kiss her and tell her how much we love her,” said Oscar Lopez, who went to see his mother. “This is the best way and we're dealing with it.”
