The city's newest Chick-fil-A will open its doors next week.

Chick-fil-A has announced it will hold its grand opening for its newest restaurant at 13701 Northwest Boulevard in Calallen on Thursday, July 18.

The restaurant will open its doors at 6:30 a.m. As always, the first 100 people in line will get free Chick-fil-A for a year.

The restaurant will allow people to register and camp out beginning at 6 p.m. on July 17.

The nearly 5,000 square foot restaurant will have a dual-lane drive thru, a dining room with free wi-fi and a 20-seat outdoor patio.

It will be operated by Denise Martinek, who lived in Corpus Christi as a child. She operates a Chick-fil-A in Lawrence, Kansas where she has been extremely successful. According to a press release issued by Chick-fil-A, Martinek is thrilled to relocate to Corpus Christi and again call herself a Texan.

“I am excited to have an opportunity to serve the Corpus Christi community both inside and outside my restaurant,” said Martinek. “I am committed to developing myTeam Members as together we provide a remarkable experience to our guests who become part of our family.”
