ARANSAS PASS, Texas — Aransas Pass Code Enforcement officers are getting ready to hit the streets, picking up trash and other illegally dumped items with a citywide cleanup.
The event will start at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Aransas Pass City Hall.
These items will be picked up and hauled out of the City of Aransas Pass with an effort to keep the city beautiful.
Code Enforcement officer Cory Elrod says there will be dumpsters set in up in parts of the city.
“These events are to help out neighbors and to help boost pride in the town and help the ones that are unable to help themselves due to disabilities or being elderly they don’t have the strength to do it themselves,” Elrod said.
Area business owners, homeowners, Aransas Pass staff and many volunteers will participate in the cleanup.
The public is invited to participate.
