CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The downtown commute should be a bit easier as the Comanche Street Bridge is open again.
It was torn down in January of 2018 as part of the new Harbor Bridge construction project.
The Comanche Street Bridge officially opened to traffic late yesterday but pedestrian access on the bridge is still under construction.
Pedestrian traffic is being detoured to the Lipan Street Bridge for now.
That bridge is set for demolition later this fall.
