CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Multiple fire crews worked to put out a large brush fire early Friday morning on the Island near Padre Balli Park.
Nueces County Emergency Services District #2 posted the below video to its Facebook page shortly before 1:00 a.m. Friday, showing the flames.
Firefighters say around five acres burned in the area of Gulf Beach Road in the area of Padre Balli Park.
It took about an hour for the fire to be controlled. There were no injuries. It is unclear what caused the fire to start.
Multiple crews from the Corpus Christi Fire Department, as well as Nueces County and the Port Aransas fire departments worked to get the fire under control.
