PORT ARANSAS — Some residents of Port Aransas spent the morning enjoying an annual neighborhood parade as well.
Young and old alike gathered for this event, the sixth annual Beachwalk Patriotic Parade.
Those who participate say it helps bring the community together.
According to organizers, the goal of this event is to show children the meaning of patriotism, love for their country, and appreciation for those who serve our country.
This is the third year members of the military have participated in the event.
