CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Jones Aviation Depot Forum is underway at the Solomon P. Ortiz Center today.
It is one of the largest events put on by the Army Aviation Association of America, and they are returning to South Texas for their 15th year.
The forum provides military and industry leaders a chance to discuss readiness as one of the army's top priorities.
“The purpose of it is to highlight the capabilities of the depot,” said CCAD’s Col. Gail Atkins, “but also to talk about how we will modernize so that we can take care of, and maintain, future weapon systems for Army aviation.”
The two-day forum includes panel discussions and a showroom exhibit focused on aviation maintenance and combat readiness.
