CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — We are more than a year away from the 2020 general election, but local political campaigns are beginning to stir.
Carlos Vela announced today he's running for Nueces County Attorney in the Democratic Primary.
Vela is currently a Nueces County Assistant District Attorney.
He launched his campaign today, saying he wants to make the County Attorney's office more visible.
Vela says if elected, he'll partner with the district attorney's office on domestic violence and CPS cases.
