CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Fire investigators still don't know what caused a fire that heavily damaged an Annaville apartment complex.
That fire was reported at around 3 a.m. at the Churchill Square apartments on Western Drive.
When fire crews arrived, they realized they would need more manpower, so a second alarm was sounded. It took about an hour to extinguish the blaze.
Residents got out safely, but several units were destroyed. A total of eight families were left without a home because of the fire. The Red Cross was brought in to help those displaced residents.
