If you ever wondered or were a little unsure about a Corpus Christi city department and what their functions are, City Hall at La Palmera Mall was able to answer those questions.
This is the third year this event has taken place.
Over fifty booths were set up in the mall from Parks and Rec, Municipal Court, to Code Enforcement.
“It gives us a chance to get in touch with the citizens on a different level not only being upset with us because we are going out telling them how to deal with their property but we want to educate them and show them that we’re not those type of people just want to tell them what to do,” says City of Corpus Christi Code Enforcement Officer Liza Lopez.
Residents were able to walk around, gain knowledge and share what they had learned.
“The other thing I learned about was the water. How they clean the water the different steps they go through and how we get to tap water. I really thought that was interesting and educational,” says Corpus Christi resident Margaret Moreno.
