Beginning today, the City of Corpus Christi Water Utilities will be working on water lines on Chaparral Street between Starr Street and Peoples Street.
The southbound lane of Chaparral Street will be CLOSED to traffic in this area. Only the northbound lane will be open during the street construction work.
Weather permitting, the work will be completed in about two days. The city reminds drivers to use caution when driving near the work zone and follow traffic signs. Motorists should prepare for delays and if possible, seek alternate routes or simply avoid the area.
