Those numbers from the U.S. Border Patrol underscore the urgency over the issue of border security.
A congressional delegation including U.S. Rep. Michael Cloud is wrapping up a three-day visit dealing with that very topic today.
It began Wednesday in McAllen.
Yesterday, they were the Laredo and Falfurrias area.
At this hour, that delegation is traveling from Laredo to Driscoll to tour a facility for unaccompanied minors there.
