A car is described as a total loss after it was stolen and then apparently set on fire.

Officials say a man was trying to park his car about 11 p.m. Thursday at the Saratoga Cove Apartments on Wooldridge. At that time, someone approached him demanding his car.

The suspect then drove that car across town and allegedly set it on fire underneath the Crosstown Expressway and Agnes Street.

It took firefighters about 10 minutes to get the flames under control. The car was pretty much gutted.

The man then fled. The Corpus Christi Police Department encourages the public to call if you know any information.

No one was hurt in the incident.
