The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department wants to install water attractions at some city parks.

But before they’re waiting for the city council to vote on it.

Earlier this year, the Parks and Recreation Department agreed to install splash pads at Bill Witt City Park, Salinas Park and Lindale Recreation Center.

These projects are expected to cost more than $600,000.

Nothing’s been done yet because city council has not approved construction.

And with summer just around the corner, park visitors are frustrated.

Today, we’ll speak to someone who’s concerned, as well as the city to get an update.

That full story will be seen this evening on KRIS 6 News.
