CCPD: Neighbors reported hearing about two dozen gunshots and that led to a swat standoff outside a home.
It happened just after 2:00am this morning at a house in the 1000 block of Blunzter Street. That’s in a neighborhood behind Spohn Memorial hospital on the city’s west side.
Corpus Christi police at the scene said they received reports of up to 25 shots fired near the home.
Officers tried to make contact with residents inside but they refused to come out.
That’s when the swat team was called in.Six males and two females were detained…at this time it is not clear if they will be arrested as police continue to investigate.
No one was hurt in the incident.
