The Buc Days Pirate Queens have once again taken over the city.
And they’re planning to mark the occasion by tossing Mayor Joe McComb into the bay in a few minutes down at the T-heads.
It’s a tradition that dates all the way back to 1938 when the first Buc Days celebration was held.
A.C. McCaughan was mayor of Corpus Christi that year.
A bayfront part was named after him.
And today, it’s called Waters Edge Park.
