Multiple firefighters were requested to battle a house fire in Kingsville this Easter Sunday.

The fire broke out just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon in the 300 block of N. Pasadena Street.

When firefighters arrived, they noticed a fire spread across an attic causing serious damage to the home.

According to investigators, the strong winds played a major factor which caused the flames to spread quickly.

Fire crews requested additional resources from the Annaville Fire Department and Naval Air Station Kingsville Fire Department.

It took crews thirty minutes to get the fire under control. The home is considered a loss at this time.

Investigators are looking into what caused the incident. Firefighters said no one was inside the home when the fire broke out.
