A Florida woman was ready when a massive half-naked intruder tried breaking into her car.

Clarese Gainey, 65, heard a noise outside her apartment in Gainesville, Fla., early Sunday, according to High Springs, Fla., television station WGFL.

“I grab my bat, I brace myself and I ease the door open,” Gainey recounted.

Police then said that 5-foot-6, 300-pound Antonio Mosely charged at Gainey.

“I took that bat and hit him upside the head like ‘pi-yah!'” Gainey said. “He said ‘Ow!'”

Antonio Mosley was arrested in Gainesville, Fla., after he was confronted by a 65-year-old grandmother who identified him after she earlier slammed him in the head with a baseball bat. (Alachua County Sheriff’s Office file photo)

“He was in his drawers, he didn’t have no shoes on, no shirt or nothing.”

Gainesville police report that Mosley ran to a nearby mobile home park, leaving behind his pants, a shirt and a sock. Their K-9 unit tracked him inside a nearby mobile home where he was wearing a new pair of pants with cocaine in the pocket.

Gainey was brought back to identify Mosley. She told WGFL she could easily identify Mosley not only by his squat appearance but also by his head wound.

Mosley was charged with two counts of burglary and drug possession. He remains in Alachua County Jail.

“He better be glad I didn’t have a gun,” Gainey said. “Because I would have shot him. But this is my gun right here (baseball bat). Because I gone ‘Pi-yow!'”

He also learned a lesson about messing with the property of a bat-swinging grandmother.
