Trucks delivering goods from Mexico to the United States are facing up to 12 hours of gridlock.

Drivers said the halt came after a transfer of U-S Border Agents to immigration duties at several border crossings.

U-S Department of Homeland Security Officials said recent redeployment of about 750 officers on the border led to the slowing of legal crossings and commerce at ports of entry.
