Over the years, the North Beach area has been forgotten when it comes to new development.
One long-time North Beach resident, Lynn Frazier, who also owns Fajitaville, says he’s been waiting to bring North Beach and Corpus Christi to the next level. About five years ago, he bought the 6.5 acre lot near the Harbors in hopes of creating something special. Frazier partnered with Dallas-based developer Jeff Blackard, to make La Vista Pointe happen.
La Vista Pointe will cost between $25-35 million. It will have 140 apartments, 6 town homes, a wedding chapel, the Light House Yacht Club, and a 160-foot lighthouse that will have a restaurant at the bottom.
Frazier says he hopes this will give North Beach a better impression, and show what this area has to offer right when people come over the causeway from Portland.
Another resident, Bill Ibarra, lives directly behind the La Vista Pointe lot and says he’s excited for the changes. Other residents that KRIS 6 has spoken to have high hopes that the new developments across North Beach will give the area a bright future.
