Residents on Jamaica Drive say the safety of their children is at risk because of speeding drivers.

Neighbors say these speedy drivers are starting to become a familiar sight for residents who live near Jamaica along Caribbean drive.

The speed limit in that area is 30mph.

However, residents say drivers are doing way more.

Resident Brian Reese has lived on Jamaica Drive for ten years.

Reese says since this area has no sidewalks that can lead these speedy drivers to crash onto property leaving major damage behind.

Many folks walk along this road, and some include children.

“You know anywhere between 7 years old all the way to 15 years old walkthrough here from the school bus or if it’s the B bus right here by the bus stop and those are the things that I’ve noticed all the time,” says Reese.

To prevent this from continuing, Reese says speedbumps and more signage would be ideal.
