Sometimes, it’s better to celebrate after a fight is over.
Undefeated Frech boxer Sabri Sediri was cruising through his WBO European super lightweight title bout Saturday against Sam Maxwell. Then, with the final seconds ticking down in the 10th round to end the fight, Sediri did the inexcusable.
He stopped boxing and instead started taunted his opponent.
Woooooow! 😳
Sam Maxwell was losing and being taunted by his opponent all fight and then did this with 10 second to go!
Incredible knockout 👊 pic.twitter.com/qM069RZnQK

What he received might have been one of the most embarrassing knockout loss in modern boxing history. As Sediri taunted the British fighter, Maxwell caught him with a picture-book right cross with just under 15 seconds left in the fight.
Sediri was almost knocked out cold, tumbling to the canvas. Maxwell won the fight, but hardly could believe it — as did most of the spectators.
There’s a lesson in this. Don’t celebrate victories and taunt opponents until after the final bell has sounded.
Or you might be a victim of what Sediri felt.
