Has your young student ever wanted a chance to learn from scientists, while also participating in a fun summer program?
The UT Summer Science 2019 Session provides that and more, giving students a chance to a field and lab experience that will increase their science knowledge. From learning the scientific method, problem solving and building teamwork skills in a fun, hands-on environment.
Ocean Warriors will be held June 3-7 and June 17-21. It will provide conservation lessons and how we can be stewards for oceans.
And Seas the Day will be June 10-14 and June 24-28. Students will learn lessons on adventures exploring and studying marine science.
Third and fourth-grade students will meet from 10 a.m. to noon at a cost of $50 per week. Fifth and sixth- grade students and seventh and eighth-graders will meet from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a cost of $85 per week.
Classes will be conducted at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute, 750 Channel View Drive in Port Aransas.
