Veteran forward-center Pau Gasol and the San Antonio Spurs have agreed on a contract buyout which will enable him to leave the team after spending the last 2½ years with them.
Gasol, 38, is in his 18th season in the NBA.

ESPN.com reports that that Gasol’s buyout will enable him to immediately sign with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he will join Milwaukee coach and former Spurs assistant coach Mike Budenholzer.

Gasol is a six-time NBA All-Star and two-time NBA champion. This season, the 7-footer is averaging career-low totals of 4.2 points, 4.7 rebounds and 12.2 minutes per game.
