Progress is taking place in road construction projects in Corpus Christi.
The grand opening of the Alameda Street project from Ayers Street to Louisiana Avenue will take place this morning. It will be conducted at 10 a.m. at the former Six Points RTA Transfer Station at the corner of Staples and Alameda streets.
The project received a full depth reconstruction which included median improvements, new sidewalks, curb and gutters, cycle tracks, ADA curb ramps, bus stop improvements, lighting, signage, marking and new traffic signal systems. The project also included utility upgrades for water, wastewater, storm water and gas.
The city will celebrate the completion of two other bond projects at the time and will provide details about an upcoming project to the area.
