A bill passed the Utah State House that would allow drivers in the state to run red lights in certain situations.

Salt Lake City television station KSL reports that House Bill 151, would amend the state’s current traffic flow laws. It would allow drivers to proceed through a red light after coming to a complete stop for at least 90 seconds after “reasonably determining” that the traffic light hasn’t detected their presence, no other vehicles are approaching the intersection, and no other safety hazards exist.

The bill now will be debated by the Utah State Senate.

Slow traffic lights are an annoyance across the country.

But how would you think a similar law would affect traffic in Texas and particularly Corpus Christi?
