The Association of American Football isn’t the NFL.
Nowhere close to it.
The talent isn’t as good. And the excitement level of Sundays in the fall isn’t there, either.
But the league has some entertainment value that might be missing from the major leagues.
Watch below this highlight from the Orlando Apollos’ game Saturday night.
This dog caught an 83-yard frisbee toss during halftime of the Orlando Apollos football game Saturday night. The PA announcer claims it’s an all-time record. Pretty impressive. pic.twitter.com/bLwCbFEzbG

Having Steve Spurrier as the Apollos’ head coach has helped spark a little interest for another minor-league football team in Orlando.
But it probably doesn’t bode too well for the future of the franchise — or the league for that matter — if the highlight of the season so far is a dog snagging an 83-yard frisbee catch.
