An early morning rollover car accident leaves one person dead and another in critical condition.
Corpus Christi police say the crash happened around 5am near the intersection of Ayers Street and Crosstown Expressway. That’s where a truck with three people navigated around a barricade and rollover multiple times into an embankment.
One passenger was pronounced dead at the scene while another was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle walked to a nearby Whataburger to ask for help. Officers say he was intoxicated and was not injured in the wreck.
At this time the victim’s names have not yet been released.
