Three boys at a middle school in Olathe, Kan. , did something special for every girl at their school today.

They made sure that every one of their female classmates, teachers and staff at Summit Trail Middle School received a flower for Valentine’s Day. They spent their own money to pay for the costs.

Eighth-grader Tristan Valentine, seventh-grader Kyan Rice and sixth-grader Lincoln Holmes used hundreds of their own dollars to purchase flowers for all 270 girls and 70 female staff members at the school.

“We wanted every girl to feel important and special on Valentine’s Day,” Valentinetold Kansas City station KMBC.  “We worked hard to make sure it was going to be a surprise to everybody. I only told a few friends, and the girls seemed surprised and happy.”

Their move delighted all of the girls. And it was even more impressive to parents at the school.

In a Facebook post to 41 Action News station KSHB, one mother said that the boys’ actions were stunning.

“In a time where kids are mean and don’t take time to show a caring heart or hand, these three boys arranged to have a flower for every young lady in the school,” she wrote. ” What a sweet gesture to make sure every girl felt important.”

Principal Sarah Guerrero told KMBC she was impressed and wanted to do everything she could to help.

“I got chills seeing it happen,” Guerrero said. “The ladies were so excited. It gives them something to look up to and feel good about themselves. It’s also what makes Summit Trail special.”

How about these actions from a few kids who wanted to make sure that all female students at their school had a great moment on Valentine’s Day?
