Three furry fugitives were cornered after lurking near our KRIS 6 studios.
Officials from Texas Parks and Wildlife and Animal Control staked out these javelinas late this morning.
You may recall that earlier this week, these three javelinas had been making themselves at home near our parking lot. And it was probably only a coincidence their visit came after our Super Bowl party at the studios Sunday night with lots of garbage in our dumpster.
Catching them wasn’t easy. Two were brought into custody and the other one skittered away, squealing as it sped away.
The others were hog-tied and loaded up in an animal control truck.
Don’t worry. They won’t end up as key elements on a Grand Slam breakfast special.
Instead, they’ll most likely be released back into the wild.
Where maybe the pig at liberty might join them some day.
