The Rotary Club of Southside Corpus Christi continued its history of honoring Hometown Heroes tonight.
The group’s annual dinner was held at the Corpus Christi Country Club.
This year’s honoree was Gene Seaman, who served our area in the Texas House of Representatives for 10 years.
Most recently, he was named to the One Star National Service Commission by Gov. Greg Abbott.
Seaman said he was humbled to receive the recognition.
“It really is not about me,” Seaman said. “It’s all about Rotary and the tremendous work that Rotary does.”
The money raised during tonight’s fundraiser will go toward the service projects of the Southside Rotary Club.
