Thursday is the deadline to pay Nueces County property taxes.
There was a long line today at the Tax Assessor/Collector’s office this morning.
If you miss the Jan. 31 deadline – which is tomorrow – you will have to pay a 7 percent penalty on the money you owe.
And an important reminder for those federal employees who were furloughed during the shutdown. The county isn’t cutting you any slack. Thursday’s deadline will apply to you as well.
