It was move-in day today for a family whose home was destroyed by Hurricane Harvey.

The Molina family was given the keys to a brand new manufactured home thanks to the Coastal Bend Disaster Recovery Group.

Their pantry was stocked by the Coastal Bend Food Bank.

The family lived in public housing for more than a year while the recovery group worked on getting them a new home.

“We were very excited, but at the same time I didn’t want to get too excited,” Maria Molina said. “Because I wasn’t sure if it was really going to happen. But now that we are here. I am very happy. Very happy now.”

This is the fifth home the disaster group has rebuilt or replaced.

The donations were made by the family of Howard E. Butt and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
